Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

It was nice to sleep in a little today and run for a bit longer.  I was planning on only running 4 but I stopped at the track and I am really enjoying the track lately.  It is easy to run two more laps and then two more and before I realize I have ran an extra mile.  I probably covered 5.75-6.0 miles but I walked a bit here and there so I am calling in 5 miles of running.

I was tired and achy this morning and didn't feel like running at all.  I probably would have stayed in bed but my husband is gone for a few days so I won't be able to run.  I thought I better get a few miles in today.  I guess it is good I did but I am actually look forward to a few days of mandatory running break and sleeping in!  I think I will try to take my kids to the track tomorrow evening and get a few miles in.

Today's run started out well.  I had a little pain but was able to run through it quickly and it went away.  But after 2 miles, sharp pains came again.  I tried walking through and then running about 5 times but it just wasn't going away so I walked awhile to our community garden and watered the plants.  When I was done watering, I was able to run home with no problem.  How weird.  I wish I knew what caused the pain and how to get around it.  I still got my 45 minutes of movement in whether it is running or walking I have decided to just get out and cover as much ground as possible in 45 minutes.  I think I covered about 3.5 miles.

Today I walked the first .4 and then I was able to run 4 miles without any walking breaks or pain.  I am happy that I was able to stick it out for 4 miles.  I walked about .3 at the end so my total distance covered was 4.7.  I am starting to feel better now, but when I first finished the run I felt like I had just completed 10 miles, not 4.

I asked my doctor about the pain I get while running.  He didn't seem too concerned and said to keep running but not when the pain is there.  He also said there isn't really anything to do about it except have the baby.  So, 11 more weeks of running pain, yeah!  Actually that is assuming I run for 11 more weeks.
