Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

Total Distance
4.00

Today I walked the first .4 and then I was able to run 4 miles without any walking breaks or pain.  I am happy that I was able to stick it out for 4 miles.  I walked about .3 at the end so my total distance covered was 4.7.  I am starting to feel better now, but when I first finished the run I felt like I had just completed 10 miles, not 4.

I asked my doctor about the pain I get while running.  He didn't seem too concerned and said to keep running but not when the pain is there.  He also said there isn't really anything to do about it except have the baby.  So, 11 more weeks of running pain, yeah!  Actually that is assuming I run for 11 more weeks.

That sounds like good advice. You're doing a great job with keeping the running going. Have fun in Utah next week.

I'm glad to hear the pain isn't anything bad and you can run if you want to.

I imagine running pregnant would make any distance seem like more than twice the effort.

Hey, are you going to run in Utah?
