Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

I didn't sleep well during the night so when the alarm went off at 6:00 I was not ready to run and start the day. I fell right back asleep. I slept until 8:15, what a treat! I have been waking up early even on the weekends when I have time to sleep in. When I woke up I rode the bike in the basement for 45 minutes. I don't know how many miles because the display is broken but I am still dripping in sweat so it was a good workout and worth cross training for a little extra sleep!

I agree! Sometimes extra sleep and cross training is just what the body needs :)

How nice you were able to catch a few extra zzzz's after a sleepless night.

It's nice you've got a bike to sweat on indoors. In-door alternatives are great.

I love having the bike because my husband leaves for work at 6:45 and I don't have free daycare at the gym so if I don't get out the door early I have to workout at home, evenings just get too crazy for me. The bike is a nice alternative and a good pregnancy workout for the near future.

I think you made a good decision. It's nice that you have the bike alternative. This is not the time for you to be hard core and drag yourself out in the morning if you don't feel like it.

yes - sleep is SO important! I LOVE it!! :) I'm glad you got the best of both worlds - sleep and workout!
