Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

Today was a really hard run for me.  I completely tanked.  Yesterday I started feeling sick with a cough and sore throat.  Last night I tossed and turned all night and had a lot of congestion this morning.  Mixing pregnancy breathing issues with sickness makes running really difficult.  I contemplated stopping after 4 then 5 but I am glad I finished the 6.

I am running the Moab 1/2 next Saturday so I really hope the sickness goes away quickly and that this was just a fluke bad day.  I am a bit nervous about the race next week.

We did start out kind of fast on those first two miles. That was undoubtedly part of your problem. You'll do great in Moab. Just get some Emergen-C like I told you, drink lots of water, and get lots of rest this week. We'll have a fun weekend in any case.

Take care of yourself! I had a sucky run on Thursday and I was a little paranoid about how the rest of the week would go, but it went okay.

Rest up and I'm sure you'll be ready to go on Monday!

Hope you feel better Michelle! Don't worry, you'll do awesome for the 1/2!

Hope you're rested up and feeling better. Take it easy & get some strength back for your beautiful race on Saturday.
