Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

Today was an easy 6 miles.  Our Easter bunny comes on Saturday morning so I wanted to be home early for Easter festivities.  It was nice to go for a run and be home at 8:20 before all our kids were up.

I was thinking today that I felt like a little bit of a slacker for only running 6 miles on a Saturday "long run".  Then I realized how humorous that was because a little over a year ago I had only ran 6 miles maybe 3 times.  I have been running for many years but only 3 miles for exercise and fitness.  It has only been the last year that I have increased mileage and gotten a bit better at running.  I am glad that I feel like a bit of a slacker for "only" running 6.

You are definitely not a slacker.

We do Easter baskets on Saturday morning too, but I slept in and ran after the Easter festivities, instead of before like you. You were done with your run before I even started. Who's the slacker now?

Good run Michelle! Hope you and your family had a great Easter!
