Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

Today's run was a bit of a struggle.  For the first two miles I  kept getting rocks in my shoe because my shoes weren't tied tight enough.  My feet also started to hurt a little from the shoe being too loose.  So, at mile 2 I stopped and fixed the shoe problem.  After I fixed my shoes, my feet felt better but I never got back into the groove before the end of the run.  I am just glad I did the run and that it is over now.  It was great running weather this morning, I am sad that next week we will be back in the dark for morning running.

You looked like you were running pretty strong when I saw you.

Daylight savings is always a tough time! Despite struggling I'm glad you got the miles in. You have been wonderfully consistent with your running!!

It's always easier to do a tough run like that when it's nicer outside. I like the fact that spring is on its way--but I guess daylight savings does stink for you morning runners...Is it long that you'll be in the dark, or only a few weeks?

I'm dreading the daylight saving time switch too. It makes me want to move to Arizona...or Hawaii where they don't play daylight savings time games.

Great job getting in a tough run.
