Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

Today my neighbor who I run with could not go running.  So I decided to wake up a little earlier and run 6 miles instead of 4.  I think I was a little anxious about waking up earlier because I kept waking up throughout the night thinking it was time to run when it was only 2:15 then 4:45 and then 5:45.  My run was one that makes you fall in love with running again.  It was very calm and serene.  I didn't feel tired and I was able to watch the sun rise and listen to the Wicked soundtrack which I enjoy running to.  All in all, a great run!

What a fantastic run, Michelle! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I suppose when you run with other people most of the time like you do, it's nice to run by yourself once in a while.

I often wake up repeatedly during the night when I'm anxious about getting up on time for something.

I do the same thing when I have to wake up early...

Love great runs like this!

What a great way to start a day. Those special runs are the ones that keep us coming back for more.

You could have used your friend's excuse to throw in the towel, and instead you had an awesome experience. It's great when we're rewarded for being diligent.

I've heard good things about Wicked. Have you seen it?

I'm with the majority - great job getting up and getting it done PLUS some!

Oh, and I do the same as well, unless I know I can weasel out of it somehow, then I sleep better :)
