Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

This morning I walked to warm up a bit and when I got to the point to start my run there was a woman a little bit behind me.  I ran a bit faster pace to not let her pass me right away.  About a half mile later she pulled past me and said good morning.  She didn't run by really fast and watching her run barely in front of me I knew I could keep up with her.  So I kicked it in a tiny bit, caught up with her and asked if she minded if I ran with her.  It was nice to have someone to talk to and to push my pace a bit.  We ran pretty fast, I was surprised at how well I did.  When we neared the point where she was going to turn off, I was feeling really tired and glad we were done running together.  I slowed down after she left for just a bit and then walked home.  It was a good run, glad I went.

Nice job finding a running partner! Sounds like you got a good workout in, and I hope you find some rest sometime today!

I never find someone to run with except in races. I'm glad you had a good run this morning. You're doing a good job maintaining your fitness.

Did you tell this woman that you ran with that you are pregnant?

LOVE when stuff like that happens. Running with someone always makes the miles go by faster! Keep up the good work...it's worth it :)

your run sounds marvelsous! Did taking a day off between running give you the relief you were looking for?

I'm enjoying bike riding this summer. Yours is a stationary bike, isn't it?

QP, she's out of town. I'm so out of it, I'm not sure where she went. But I'm pretty sure she'll be back next week. Maybe she'll run and blog while she's out of town, or maybe she's just having too much fun doing other things.
