Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

I ran 3 easy slow miles on the treadmill this morning.  My hip hurt a bit when I woke up but I stretched it before I ran, after I ran and iced.  It didn't hurt at all while I was running so hopefully it is getting better.

It is really cold outside this morning and there is a it of snow on the ground.  Yesterday Carolyn gave me some Yaktraks for my birthday, I wanted to try them out but my neighbor likes running indoors when it is cold and snowy.  I am sure I will find a time soon to use them.

I got a nice birthday surprise this morning.  When I came home from running there was a cake in the oven that my husband made before he went to work.  We call it yellow cake and eat it for breakfast.  I love it warm with milk poured on top.  I am going to go enjoy a piece now(maybe two.)

Happy Birthday! That's great that Ben made you a birthday surprise. Yum!

Good job on the running today. I hope the hip holds up.

I've got to try to hit the treadmill myself at some point today.

Michelle,

I hope your whole day was as great as your run and your birthday breakfast cake.

I'm so glad you didn't have problems with your hip, and that you had a treadmill to run on instead of having to go outside.
