Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

I had to fight myself to get out the door today.  As always I am glad I ran but sleeping felt really nice at 6:00.  The doughnuts I ate last night were good motivation to get moving.

I love the weather this week, spring crispness with a bit of overcast skies.  I think it is perfect running weather.  I lived in Pennsylvania for 9 years and Michigan/Ohio for 3 years so I love the overcast rainy weather.  My family thinks I'm crazy but there is something cozy about stormy weather that I prefer to bright sunshine.  I am sure I would get sick of it if it was like this all the time, but a week is nice.

I like the spring crispness but not the overcast skies. I was a little chilly on my run this morning. I prefer sunshine.

BTW, the distance from that corner to your house, if you turn left on Princeton at the bottom of the hill, is 0.40. From your house back to that corner going the other direction (so it's the distance if you go straight at the Princeton corner) is 0.35.

Kudos for beating the bed's tractor beam & getting out.

I had an evening of eating that helped motivate me this morning as well. And it involved much more than a doughnut.

I agree that cloudy days can be cozy, but I'll take the sunshine first anytime. Spring time is just a great time to be outside enjoying the world.

Thanks Carolyn! This is more than I thought because I run the longer route. Thanks for checking it for me.

QP- I wish it was just a doughnut, more like 3 doughnuts.

I agree with the stormy weather. Last night it was cloudy and drizzling a bit with a cool wind. It was a nice run for me.

Great job getting out and getting going this morning! Maybe I should try eating some doughnuts and see if that motivates me to get out and run in the morning :)

Oh, and I'm loving the rain today, because I got my garden all planted yesterday - only good karma I'm feeling today!!
