Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

I don't know what is up with my sleep lately but I keep waking up too early.  This morning I was up at 4:40 and the alarm doesn't go off until 6:00, but I couldn't go back to sleep.  I was worried my run would be difficult.  But it wasn't, it was an awesome run!

Yesterday I decided to try on some of my maternity clothes.  I am not terribly skinny but I am smaller than I have been in the past.  I was shocked to see how huge some of my clothes were.  There is no way I can wear most of my pants, even at 9 months pregnant, they will still be clown like on me.  This is a good problem but now I will need a new maternity wardrobe.  Better then actually fitting into the giant pants.

That is more of a good problem than a bad one but I would be annoyed at having to buy a new wardrobe. Maybe one of your friends has some clothes you can borrow to help alleviate some of the cost!

So funny, but I'm having the exact same problem! Where this is our last baby I don't want to spend a ton of money...blah, blah, blah. So, I'm trying to buy pants just a size bigger and deal with the button-elastic trick. It's the shirts that are getting me now!

Nice job on the miles! I'm glad you are still getting some good running days in. I know it sure makes me feel a TON better! I just wish you could sleep too.

Sleep can be tough during pregnancy, as I recall from long, long ago.

It's too bad you need to get new maternity clothes, but great that you started out this pregnancy smaller than you have in the past. See what all this running has done!

That's a good problem to have! New clothes is fun!

(Can you tell that I don't have kids and spend my money as I please? I know I'll be singing a different tune someday...)

There have got to be so many pregnant women out there that are looking for bigger clothes! Maybe there's an app for that & you can trade :-)

Glad you had a wonderful run and the lack of sleep didn't drag you down.
