Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

I didn't feel very energetic this morning and I walked out the door thinking maybe I will run maybe I will walk.  Once I got going I felt a lot better.  I did the whole loop but really slow.  I felt good after completing the run because I didn't go very fast but still got the mileage in.

Glad you decided to run the whole thing. I bet you feel very accomplished, given your state of mind before the run!

I know the feeling you're talking about. I often start out really slow and then get feeling better after a while. We've talked about this before - those people who never run far enough to get to the part of the run that feels good.

I feel like this all the time now...I just try to remind myself how much better I feel when I'm done. I know I'll regret it if I don't, but it's just those first few steps out the door that are the hardest!! NICE JOB on getting them done today, keep up your GREAT work!
