Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

Back to running in the dark.  I ran alone this morning, my neighbor's husband is out of town.  I really enjoy when I can be alone, set my own pace, listen to music, and just zone out a bit.  I ran with a little rock in my shoe for 2 miles hoping it would fall into a spot that didn't bother me.  It just kept getting worse and more annoying so I finally stopped and got it out, I felt much better after that.

I tried to think of pounding the pavement, and not bouncing too vertically thanks to Carolyn.  Also, a few months ago while on a run with Carolyn she told me to imagine a tree or object up ahead was putting out a magnetic force and drawing you in.  I use this a lot at the end of my run when I am going up a hill.  It helps me to pull myself towards the top.  Thanks for all the tips Carolyn!

Great job getting out this morning. It's better than I did.

I'm glad my little tips are helpful.

LOVE the magnet imagery!

Glad you're feeling better and are getting ready for the race. I think even despite pregnancy you'll have a GREAT race Saturday; but I understand the pushing v patience now - a little different thought pattern!

I love alone runs, especially in the early morning! A great way to start the day. I love the imagery of the magnetic force; I think I will imagine the finish line pulling me this Saturday - haha.

Michelle, I run alone on all of my runs. It sucks but I'm used to it. Great job on the run!
