Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

Today I ran a little bit earlier because my neighbor that I run with needed to get to work early.  We did our standard 4 mile route then I added 2 after.  I usually only run 4 miles because my husband needs to leave for work but I had extra time today from waking up early.  I really enjoy running 6 miles because I usually don't get into my run and start feeling better until somewhere between mile 3 and 4.  Running 6 allows me to run for a longer time while feeling good, but isn't too long that I get tired or use a lot of time.

When I got home I was feeling really sleepy so I took and shower and then got back in bed.  My kids left me alone for 1.5 hours and I feel much better now.

I typically start feeling better around mile 3 or 4 as well, except when my stupid 5th mile is going south on Quebec into the wind, like it was today.

A post-run morning nap is a great thing. I'm glad you got one today. Have a great day!

By the way, Sam and I love homemade carmels.

A post run nap is always wonderful. I'm glad your kids let you sleep.

I'm with you and Carolyn in that it takes a good 4 miles to get in the running groove.

I hope you're able to get in more great runs and super naps this week!

Great run Michelle! It usually takes a few miles to warm up. I love naps =)
