Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

I was thinking of running 6 miles today but my body was still really tired.  My muscles are sore, which they haven't been for awhile.  I guess it is good to be sore once in awhile and get stronger.  The easy 4 felt good and hopefully I will feel a little better tomorrow.

There is still quite a bit of snow and ice on the roads and sidewalks.  It makes a run a little slippery and a bit like an obstacle course.

I think you did the right thing sticking with 4 today. An obstacle course is a good description of what it was like this morning.

Did I see Ben out running when I drove into your neighborhood this morning?

Way to listen to your body! Great job on 4 miles!

Nice run, and kudos to you for listening to your body! Snow and ice can be detrimental to a runner, so I'm glad you were able to get a few safe miles in and go from there!
