Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I have run 5K throughout my life.  I just ran the Colder Boulder in 25:33 which is a PR for me.

I ran two half marathons this past summer and my fastest time was around 2:09:? (My chip had issues and I was given a gun time but not a chip time, but I know I finished under 2:10:00)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run a marathon during the summer of 2010.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for fitness and fun.  I would like to improve my pace to comfortably average 30 seconds faster then I run now.

Personal:

I am married and have three children.  I enjoy friends, piano, singing, crafting, and organizing/cleaning my home.

Total Distance
9.50

I had to get up early to run because I had a choir practice at church.  I went running with my friend Carolyn and Michelle.  The total time was 1:29:40.  We did the same route last Saturday with an extra half mile.  I noticed the hills more last Saturday than I did today so that was nice.  I get pretty tired around mile 8.  I ran quickly at the end and it felt good to run fast and stretch  my legs out.  All in all a good run.  I liked getting back at 8:00 while half of my family was still in bed and knowing I had already ran 9.5 miles.

You really did pick up the pace on that last bit. I didn't have the energy to chase you. You're looking really strong!

Nice run Michelle! It's not always easy to pick up the pace after a long run - that shows your strength! Keep up the good work...early morning runs do have some good rewards, but about 3 in the afternoon is when you feel the consequences! :)

Hi Michelle. I read your blogs this week, and you're really working hard. You've got a great sense of humor too.

I'm a little late, but welcome to the blog. I've found the extra support to be invaluable.

Good luck working on your running goals, and have fun out there!
